Malik : Anthony Gebrehiwot

Malik is a friend that I made In Jamaica in 2018 through mutuals. We spent the day together as I photographed him and got to know him. He was a talented Jeweller and a mechanic at a young age. Unfortunately, a couple of months after I left Jamaica to go back to Toronto, he was tragically hit by a truck and passed away. My heart is still broken from this loss and he crosses my mind often. Initially, I was intimidated by him and all the tattoos on his face but he ended up being the coolest and kindest soul. He is a great reminder that no matter how you look, you should get to know someone for who they are before you judge.
